There's an air of unspoiled charm about Jasper and Marmot Basin. Located 4 hours west of Edmonton, and 20 minutes south of the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin inspires great memories with breathtaking views, and abundant dry, natural snow. The ski area is surrounded by 11,000 square kilometres of protected wilderness in Jasper National Park – the largest park in the UNESCO Canadian Rockies World Heritage Site. Marmot Basin is famed for its open powder slopes, which are suited to all ability levels, and also for the ‘elbow room' – being one of the most uncrowded ski areas in Canada.
